How to measure resistance without a multimeter exclusive tips

We can measure a resistance without using multi meter. Lets see how can we measure.

We can measure a resistance using the color codes of resistance.

First of all, we need a chart of resistance color codes. The chart is given below.

There, we talk about 4 band and 5 band code. First, we talk about 4 band code.

In 4 band code, from left 1st color is 1st band. 2nd one is 2nd band and 3rd code is multiplier. Last one is Tolerance. Now talk about how its measure. 

We calculate the above resistance using color codes.
1st band is red and red value is 2
2nd band is violet and violate value is 7

Multiplier is green and green value in multiplier is 100000 ohm
Tolerance is Gold and gold value is +/- 5% (J)

So,
     Resistance ohm = {1st code, 2nd code x multiplier} +/- tolerance
                               = {27 x 100000} +/- 5%
                               = 2700000 +/- 135000
                               = 2700000 + 135000 ; 2700000-135000
                               = 2835000 ohm to 2565000 ohm
